A free alternative to Just the Recipe
Just the Recipe and Simpler Recipes solve the same problem: recipe pages buried under ads and essays. The honest one-line difference — Just the Recipe has native mobile apps and a freemium model; Simpler Recipes is entirely free on the web, with scaling, printing, meal planning and a pantry included.

When Just the Recipe is the better choice
If you want a native iPhone or Android app — share a link straight from your browser's share sheet into an installed app — Just the Recipe does that today and Simpler Recipes doesn't (we're a web app; you can install it to your home screen, but it isn't an app-store app). Their free tier is a perfectly good way to declutter pages if 20 saved recipes is enough.
When Simpler Recipes fits better
If you'd rather not manage another subscription: cleaning, unlimited on-device saving, serving scaling, printing, meal planning, a pantry and hands-free Cook Mode are all free here. No account is needed to clean a recipe; a free account adds cross-device sync and a larger monthly allowance for the AI fallback we use on pages without structured recipe data. Cleaned recipes always keep their quantities verbatim and link back to the original author.
